The Workshop was only focused for strengthening the Tobacco Free Campaign for the good health of non smokers in Himachal Pradesh and to sustain the status of "Smoke Free City" to Shimla. The different sections of the Tobacco Control Act i.e. COTPA, 2003 was discussed with the media persons. It was needed to give focus to control sale of tobacco products near any educational institutions, control the surrogate advertisement at the point of sale,reduction in the demand for tobacco products by raising taxes on all tobacco products. The demand for more Smoke Free public places is highly needed to save the non smokers. The workshop was organized by Himachal Pradesh Voluntary Health Association (HPVHA) and supported by Voluntary Health Association (VHAI), New Delhi.
